Terms & Conditions

Version 2.0 · Effective 21 April 2026 · Last updated: 21 April 2026

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and BadiTournie. Please read them carefully and save a copy for your records.

At a glance. BadiTournie is a tournament management platform. You keep ownership of your tournament data; we provide the tools to run events. Payments (if any) are handled by Stripe. The Service is provided "as is" with limited warranties and a capped liability. This summary is informational only and does not replace the full terms below.

2. Definitions

  • "Service" means the BadiTournie web application, APIs, mobile/PWA clients, and any related software, documentation, or content made available by us.
  • "User" means any person who accesses the Service, including Organisers, Scorers, Players, and Spectators.
  • "Organiser" means a User who creates or administers a tournament (including super admins and tournament admins).
  • "Participant" means a player or team member taking part in a tournament.
  • "Tournament Data" means the information Organisers and Users submit to the Service, including tournament names, categories, teams, player names, fixtures, scores, standings, and branding assets.
  • "Fees" means any amounts charged by the Organiser (entry fees) or by us (platform fees, subscriptions), as applicable.

3. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, club, or league, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

4. Eligibility & Minors

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an Organiser or Scorer account. Where local law requires a higher minimum age for digital consent, that higher age applies.
  • Participants under 18 may be registered for a tournament only by a parent, legal guardian, or an Organiser acting with verifiable parental/guardian consent.
  • Organisers are responsible for collecting and retaining any consents required to register minors, including under applicable child-data-protection laws (e.g. GDPR-K, COPPA, India DPDP Act).

5. Description of Service

BadiTournie provides tools for creating tournaments, managing teams and categories, scheduling fixtures, recording scores, publishing standings, and (optionally) collecting entry fees. Features, pricing, and availability may change, and we may add, modify, deprecate, or discontinue features without prior notice, except where advance notice is required by these Terms or by law.

6. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials (PINs, passwords, session tokens) and for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and must keep it up to date.
  • Account sharing is discouraged; where a role is shared across multiple staff (e.g. a single Scorer PIN), the Organiser is responsible for all actions taken under that role.
  • Notify us promptly at support@baditournie.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
  • We may require additional verification for accounts collecting payments or processing personal data of minors.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to, and not to permit anyone acting on your behalf to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, infringing, defamatory, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or fraudulent purpose;
  • submit false, misleading, or manipulated data (e.g. fake registrations, altered scores, impersonation);
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, another user's account, or underlying systems;
  • probe, scan, stress-test, or conduct security testing of the Service without our prior written consent;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, or circumvent technical protections, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law;
  • use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service or to ingest Tournament Data, except via APIs we make available and within their documented limits;
  • interfere with, disrupt, degrade, or overload the Service or connected networks;
  • upload malicious code, or content that infringes third-party intellectual-property or privacy rights;
  • use the Service to build, train, or benchmark a competing product.

We may apply rate limits and usage quotas and may suspend activity that we reasonably believe breaches this section.

8. Tournament Data & Your Content

  • Ownership. As between you and us, Organisers retain ownership of their Tournament Data and any logos, branding, or media they upload.
  • Public visibility. Depending on tournament settings, Tournament Data (team names, scores, standings) may be publicly visible. Organisers are responsible for obtaining any consents needed before publishing personal data of Participants.
  • Accuracy. You warrant that you have the rights to submit the Tournament Data and that it does not infringe or violate any third-party rights or applicable law.
  • Retention and export. We do not guarantee permanent retention. You should export data you wish to preserve via the Service's export tools. See the Privacy Policy for retention periods.

9. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including all software, designs, layouts, text, graphics, logos, and the "BadiTournie" name, is owned by BadiTournie or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
  • Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for its intended purpose.
  • Feedback you provide about the Service may be used by us without restriction or compensation.
  • All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

10. Payments & Fees

  • Payment processor. Entry-fee collection is processed by Stripe. By using the payment features you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. We do not store full card details on our systems.
  • Currency and supported regions. Supported currencies and countries are listed in the dashboard and may change.
  • Taxes. Prices exclude applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for determining, collecting, and remitting any taxes that apply to your transactions, including any tax on platform or entry fees.
  • Refunds & disputes. Refund policies are set by the Organiser and must be disclosed to Participants at the point of registration. BadiTournie is not a party to the contract between Organiser and Participant and is not responsible for refund disputes. Chargebacks are governed by Stripe's dispute process; the party at fault is responsible for associated fees.
  • Organiser obligations. Organisers must run tournaments as advertised and comply with consumer-protection laws in their jurisdiction.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers (e.g. Stripe for payments, our hosting and email providers, push-notification providers). We are not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services and their use is governed by their own terms. A current list of material sub-processors is available in the Privacy Policy.

12. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Where Organisers upload personal data of Participants, the Organiser is the data controller and BadiTournie acts as data processor, subject to the data-processing terms referenced in the Privacy Policy.

13. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not offer a formal uptime SLA unless agreed in a separate written contract. Scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, and outages in upstream providers may cause interruptions. Organisers should keep local backups of critical tournament data and should not rely on the Service as the sole authoritative record of results.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. We do not warrant that defects will be corrected, that the Service will be free of viruses or harmful components, or that results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including, where relevant, statutory consumer guarantees).

15. Limitation of Liability

  • Liability cap. Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, in any 12-month period, is limited to the Fees you paid to us for the Service in that period.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence, (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (iii) any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BadiTournie and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claim, loss, damage, liability, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (a) your Tournament Data or content; (b) your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or applicable law; (c) entry-fee collection, refunds, or disputes with Participants where you are the Organiser; or (d) your infringement of any third-party intellectual-property, publicity, or privacy right. We will notify you of any such claim promptly and cooperate at your cost in its defence. You may not settle a claim in a way that imposes obligations on us without our prior written consent.

17. Termination

  • By you. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting support@baditournie.com or using the in-app account-deletion controls where available.
  • By us for cause. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for material breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, risk to other users, or where required by law.
  • By us without cause. We may terminate or discontinue the Service or your account on at least 30 days' prior notice sent to the email on file, except where earlier termination is necessary for legal or security reasons.
  • Data export window. Unless terminated for cause relating to fraud or illegal use, you will have at least 30 days following termination to export your Tournament Data via the Service's export tools. After that period, we may delete your data, subject to any retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Survival. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 8–10, 14–16, 20–22) will continue to apply after termination.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' advance notice by email (to the address on file) and/or by a prominent notice in the Service before the changes take effect. Non-material changes (clarifications, typo fixes, minor reformulations) take effect when posted. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service before the effective date; you will retain the export rights in Section 17.

19. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance (other than payment obligations) caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, labour disputes, pandemics, network or power failures, or failures of upstream providers. The affected party will use reasonable efforts to resume performance as soon as practicable.

20. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from or connected with them are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to Section 21, the courts of the jurisdiction in which BadiTournie is established have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms. Where you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence also apply to the extent they provide you with greater protection.

21. Dispute Resolution

Before bringing a formal claim, the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute by writing to support@baditournie.com with a description of the dispute and the relief sought, and by negotiating for at least 30 days. This clause does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

22. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any order form or written contract you sign with us, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede prior understandings.
  • Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force, and the invalid provision will be replaced by one that most closely reflects its original intent and is enforceable.
  • No waiver. Failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.
  • Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, on notice to you.
  • No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between you and us.
  • Notices. Notices to us must be sent to support@baditournie.com. Notices to you may be sent to the email on your account or posted in the Service.
  • Language. These Terms are drafted in English; any translation is provided for convenience and the English version prevails in case of conflict.
